A MID-SIZE FIRM BREAKS INTO THE NATIONAL MEDIA SPOTLIGHT
SITUATION: A mid-market accounting firm wanted to break into the national media spotlight. Although the firm was well established in western Canada, the firm was not as well known in central and eastern Canada.
APPROACH: Fireworks Communications created a media relations campaign focused on the organic growth of the accounting firm—some 80 offices nationwide and counting—as well as the legacy of the retiring CEO who had been with the firm for 30 years.

RESULTS: The media relations campaign created and implemented by Fireworks Communications resulted in national coverage in The Globe and Mail and The National Post. An accountant partner was interviewed on BNN on the topic of estate planning.
In addition, the media relations campaign resulted in a monthly column in Western Producer and Profit Magazine that various partners of the mid-market accounting firm took turns providing content for.

Overall, Fireworks Communications increased media relations coverage for the mid-market accounting firm by 50%. Today, the mid-market firm is ranked 6th in Canada.
